Setting up your Dropbox Action

Upload a file

A file will be uploaded from a trigger or action that generates a file e.g. mobile/google drive/email attachment … etc. to a specified folder in the Dropbox, each time this is triggered. When you receive any file to your Google Drive/ when you share any file /photo from your mobile or when you receive email attachments, you can use this action to upload that file to a specific folder in your dropbox.

  1. Once you test your Trigger data, you need to select an action app to use with the Trigger.
  2. To add this action app to your , click on the “add service” button.

  1. Select “Dropbox” as your Action app from the list of .
  2. Connect your Dropbox account to Rapidomize and authorize Rapidomize to access your Dropbox account. Follow Guidance on setting up Dropbox to work with Rapidomize. Once connected, press select key to select your Dropbox account.
  3. Select the “Action” by clicking on “Upload a file” icon.

  1. Provide the full path to the Dropbox folder.
  2. Specify the name of the file to be uploaded (using macro), from a previous step of the .
  3. Indicate whether you want to add the file as a new one or overwrite the existing file.

  1. Test your action by clicking on “test/get sample data?”.
  2. Save your by clicking on “Save ”.
  3. You will get a card entry in “Intelligent Connected Apps page”.
  4. To activate the , turn ON the “Run” toggle slider.
  5. Click on “Status” icon on the card to see the status of your from the Dashboard.
  6. Once you activated your , it will run according to the specified schedule.
